Conductor Steve uses a big stick to release handbrakes on the 74-car rear half of the northbound coal train. Due to the constrained track layout at the Edgewater generating station, trains are split in two to be spotted. Ordinarily, that split is made at Stahl Road, on the south side of Sheboygan. Today, however, problems with the air compressor in the DPU required the original crew to leave the second half of the train on the main between Port Washington and Belgium, about 20 miles short of Sheboygan. A relief crew was called out to spot the second half of the train at the plant. They'll later take all three units to Butler for attention.
