This was the day's success. We had heard some radio chatter between a northbound and this train around Rugby Jct, and it it took a lot longer than expected for this goshdang fellow to show up. They say good things come to those who wait, and this CN SD75I leading a merchandise train through the Wisconsin countryside certainly makes a nice photo.
Friday the 13th was supposed to be a relatively warm day, with temps in the high thirties, but it never ventured above thawing (that's what us optimists call 32F)... and there was a strong wind for good measure. True to form, Bergie spent most of the hour sitting in his toasty station wagon.
