The southbound BNSF train is deeply into the curvy territory on the climb up Tehachapi grade. This railroad was built by Southern Pacific in the 1870s, and Santa Fe became a tenant. Today the successor roads rule, with Union Pacific owning the trackage (and running a bunch of trains) and BNSF is still the tenant.
