C&TS 489 has just brought a trainload of VIPs into Antonito after a short trip on the east end of the narrow gauge railroad. Meanwhile, San Luis & Rio Grande standard-gauge locomotive 18 has nearly completed loading the VIPs for the short, straight trip to Alamosa. Passengers were attending the annual convention of the Tourist Railroad Association, Inc.
