Union Pacific's Ives rock job approaches St. Francis on the Kenosha Subdivision. Usual practice is for the crew to go on duty late morning at Bain, haul empties over the Farm Sub to Kenosha and then up the Kenosha Sub to Ives, spot 30 empties and pick up 30 loads, head north to St. Francis, back into the National Avenue Spur, make a straight shot south on the Milwaukee Subdivision to Upton, drop the 30 loads and pick up 30 empties, then head back to Bain and tie up. This is a seasonal job; train carries the symbol RIVUP.
