A late-running Sheboygan wayfreight heads north on the Shoreline Subdivision. This train usually begins its journey out of Butler around 9 or 10 PM, but occasionally it's delayed due to coal train activity on the single-track line. That's what happened last night - the usual LPA79 crew was commandeered to haul a coal train to Sheboygan; this morning, this LPA82 crew was called to handle the late freight.
The rusty track at left is the long out-of-service Capitol Drive Industrial Lead, officially abandoned in May, 2009, in STB proceeding AB-33-268-X.
