Union Pacific's LPA54 job heads south on the Milwaukee Subdivision. Typical Tuesday and Thursday assignment for this crew is to depart Butler Yard in the morning, run to Cudahy on the Kenosha Sub and switch industries there, then return north, hang a left at Belton and onto the Waukesha Industrial Lead, and switch the industries in the New Berlin industrial park before returning to Butler (whew). Two units are normal on New Berlin days, because there is no facility there to run around the train. Today, the job is working in reverse, more or less. They were delayed getting out of Butler (power issues), and switched New Berlin first. In this photograph they're in West Allis on Main Track 1, running against the current of traffic, account of working New Berlin.
