Now on Wisconsin & Southern trackage, L243 continues its northward journey toward Plymouth. CN owns the track from Mill Road in Glendale to Saukville; in 2004 CN claimed the portion of the line north of Saukville, to Kiel, was not economically viable and it was put up for abandonment. The State of Wisconsin bought it and appointed WSOR operator. Today, L243 operates to Plymouth and back generally on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
