Constructed by Baldwin in 1911, LRR 110 is said to be the smallest standard gauge Pacific ever built. Originally intended for the logging industry, this locomotive was designed with a blind middle driver to negotiate tight curves. It operated on the Little River Railroad in Townsend, Tennessee until 1940, after which it was sold to the Smoky Mountain Railroad in Sevierville, Tenn. The 110 remained in operation there until approximately 1954, when it was placed into storage. In 1972, Terry Bloom acquired the locomotive and undertook an extensive rebuild, culminating in its return to service in 1976. The 110 is frequently operated during the summer tourist season.
